For most custom projects, the anticipated timeline is 8–12 weeks after permits receive approval. Factors such as pool geometry, design intricacy, property characteristics, and the Martin County permitting process can influence the schedule. Your pool journey begins with a design consultation where we clarify your vision and assess the property. We then develop your customized design and submit permit applications for county review. Once authorized, construction advances methodically through excavation, steel reinforcement installation, plumbing and electrical work, shotcrete application, tile and coping installation, decking construction, and finishing details. Each stage undergoes inspections to verify code compliance. Weather interruptions or custom additions—like raised spa features, integrated bench seating, or premium stone finishes—can extend the timeline moderately. Our team provides consistent updates throughout your North Ocean Bluff pool construction project. [ What Factors Affect Pool Construction Costs in North Ocean Bluff, Hobe Sound, FL? ](#collapse-3ee3c476ac6d61dbb086) Pool construction costs vary significantly based on size, shape, features, and site conditions. A basic rectangular pool will cost less than a freeform design with multiple curves and angles. Additional features like waterfalls, fire features, spas, tanning ledges, beach entries, and automated systems increase the overall investment. The quality of finishes—including tile, coping, and decking materials—also impacts pricing. Site-specific factors in North Ocean Bluff can affect costs as well. Properties with difficult access may require special equipment. Soil conditions, tree removal, grading needs, and utility relocations can add to the scope of work. At RPD Custom Pools, we provide detailed estimates that account for all aspects of your project so there are no surprises. We believe in transparent pricing and work within your budget to create the best possible pool for your investment. [ When do we select our finishes? ](#collapse-e8087a86ac6d61dbb086) Once we get the contract signed and get the “Pre-Construction” phase started, we will set up a time for us to meet in our office and review all the materials we offer that fall into the budget and/or any material you may be interested in upgrading. We have a wide variety of suppliers that give us samples of Marble and Travertine stone from Turkey & Italy. We have wide range of glass tile to highlight your pool's waterline, features, and steps. Lastly, we have pool plaster finish samples from SGM Florida Gem, PebbleTec, and WetEdge. It can be daunting, but we are here to guide you through process and help make the right decision! [ What are the Payment Terms? ](#collapse-86750726ac6d61dbb086) In our contract, we will provide you with a comprehensive breakdown of the schedule of values at each phase. We break it down into 6 payments: (\~30-35%) Deposit, (\~25 – 30%) Gunite Draw, (10 – 15%) Plumbing Draw, (10 – 15%) Hardscape Draw, (3 – 5%) Plaster Draw, and ( 2 – 5%) Final Draw. These terms are based on the complexity, features, securing of materials, and are subject to change. If a Change Order should arise throughout the project, these are due 100% at signing. [ What happens once we have water in the pool and punch-out work is being completed? ](#collapse-de4d6766ac6d61dbb086) Congratulations! You are almost there! Just like any project, there will always be a few items needing to be punched out & addressed. In gathering this list, your project manager will walk the job with you to review the Pool, the hardscaping (if applicable), and the operation of the Pool Equipment to see what needs to be done. Also, during this time, we will engage a Pool Service technician to get the Pool started up for the first 28-days. This is the normal timeframe for the new finish to cure and will be based on your selected finish. At the completion of the start-up, it is highly recommended that you continue service for at least 1 year with the technician. [ What is my warranty? ](#collapse-c844ff26ac6d61dbb086) All warranties are made through the manufacturers of the equipment, plaster, and setting materials supplied. We offer a 1-year workmanship warranty on our work, but we have the reputation of coming out beyond that to keep our customer satisfied. ## READY TO DIVE IN? ## Let’s Get Started Every project starts with a consultation to ensure we’re a good fit for each other.
